Jamie Jones expressed how happy he was after committing his future to Wigan Athletic until the summer of 2023.
The goalkeeper made 45 league appearances as he helped captain Latics to League One survival in the 2020-21 season.
Speaking to Latics TV, Jones explained his delight to sign a new deal and be a part of the Club’s future:
“I’m made up to get it over the line. It’s been in the process for a few weeks, but coming in getting it done is especially what I wanted, I’m delighted to be here for another two years and really push on, and help get this club to where it belongs.
“It’s a new beginning. We’ve turned over that page now of the last 12 months, and we’ve got some amazing new owners that have taken over this Club.
“We’re going to give our all to do that and give stability to the Club, to give loyalty, and to give good performances to get this Club back where it should be.”
