A GMP spokesman said:
“I would like to thank all the residents who have reported their concerns to us already, and would encourage people to continue to do so, particularly if they have specific information about known individuals who are involved, so that we can take appropriate action.
“Please note, simply sharing concerns on social media is not enough to raise this to the Police attention, the only way you can formally report to the Police is via the GMP website, live chat service or by calling 101, or if you wish to remain anonymous, you can report any crime anonymously to CrimeStoppers via their website, or dialling 0800 555 111. Always call 999 in an emergency.”
